Download the ewz mobil app (iOS App Store and Google Play Store).
Create a personal account by registering.
Save your credit card.
You will receive your RFID charging card within one working week.
Make sure that you are registered in the app and enter the ID of your private ewz charging station.

Just start the charging process using the ewz mobil app or the RFID card. Whether at home or on the go, you identify yourself for charging exactly the same way.
Billing is handled by JOYA Mobility AG.
These prices apply to charging at home (‘My charging station’) and only to charging stations operated by ewz.

Subscription: Basic fee for the charging station
- CHF 9.90* per month incl. VAT
- Minimum contract period: none
- Cancellation period: You can cancel at any time in the ewz mobil app. Following cancellation, your subscription will continue until the end of the current subscription period.

The ewz mobil app gives you access to a comprehensive network of public charging stations for your electric car throughout Switzerland and Europe. You can find an overview of all available charging stations on the map at ewz.ch or within the app.

Swisscharge will become JOYA Mobility AG on 1 October 2026. Nothing will change for you with ewz mobil: prices and conditions remain the same. Here you can find answers to the most frequently asked questions.
Swisscharge merged with other providers of electromobility services to form JOYA Mobility AG on 1 October 2026. JOYA is now processing payments for ewz mobil – Swisscharge had been handling them until now
No. ewz is not part of JOYA. ewz mobil will remain an ewz service and will continue to operate under the ewz brand. Like Swisscharge, JOYA is ewz’s payment partner.
No. Prices and conditions of ewz mobil will remain the same, and charging at the charging stations will work as usual.
From 1 October 2026, JOYA Mobility AG, Aargauerstrasse 182, 8048 Zurich, VAT no. CHE‐396.197.307, will issue collective invoices for ewz mobil. Please update your vendor information accordingly. Services, prices and payment terms remain the same.
The changeover will be gradual. JOYA will appear on ewz receipts from 1 October 2026. Swisscharge will continue to appear on credit card statements (e.g. in online banking) until 1 November 2026, after which it will be JOYA. Both terms refer to your payments for services provided by ewz mobil.
Charging stations from Swisscharge and other providers will gradually switch over to the JOYA brand from October 2026. You can continue charging there as usual with your ewz charging card.
