Costs at ewz public charging stations
The costs of charging an electric vehicle at a charging stations are based on the kWh rate and a deferred time-based tariff. All prices include VAT.
Important: The following prices apply to charging with ewz mobil. If you charge via roaming, different prices will apply.
You pay the operator of the charging station for the energy purchased. The binding charging price is always visible in the app. You will receive a bill from our specialist partner and the costs of charging will be added to your credit card.

Many drivers of electric vehicles find charging at home the most convenient solution. What options are open to you depends on your living situation and the infrastructure available.
An ewz charging station is available
Do you already have access to an ewz charging station in your underground car park, in your parking space or in your residential complex? With our ewz mobil app, you can charge your electric vehicle conveniently at your private charging station.
There is no charging station yet
Does your parking space or property not have any charging infrastructure yet? There are several ways you can implement the right charging solution for your home. Your owner could provide a charging solution, or you could rent a charging station. The best thing to do is to get in touch with your property management company.
You are a condominium owner
The introduction of charging stations in condominiums requires joint planning. Find out how charging infrastructure can be implemented in apartment buildings and which models are suitable for owners' associations.
Public charging stations for electric vehicles incur higher costs for planning, construction, operation, maintenance and billing than private charging stations do.
- Our fast-charging stations are best suited to vehicles with a charging capacity of AC 22 kW and DC 50 kW or higher.
- The optimal charge utilisation rate should be between 20% and 80%. This protects your vehicle's battery.
- Charging stations are not normal parking spaces, so please leave the parking space if you are not charging your vehicle. Since we charge by time, this will save you money and allow the next vehicle to charge fast.
The price comprises up to three components, depending on the operator:
- Initial fee: a one-off fee for starting the charging process
- Consumption-based billing: individual price per kWh purchased
- Time-based billing: costs for the time connected to the charging station.
You can find public fast-charging stations for ewz electric vehicles at around 30 locations in Zurich and the Grisons. They are operated with direct current and a charging power of up to 50 kW. Here are the places you can charge with sustainable green power without paying any roaming fees.
