We are proud to share that we are the industry leader in the categories of ‘multi-utility electricity and heating’ and ‘heating’. The Swiss Federal Office of Energy’s benchmarking exercise assesses Swiss energy providers every two years in terms of their contribution to the Swiss government’s Energy Strategy 2050. Assessments are made based on the core objectives of renewable energy and energy efficiency.
This year, EcoVadis, the industry leader in sustainability assessments, awarded us the silver medal for our sustainability efforts.
With a score of 77 (out of a maximum 100), we are among the top 15 per cent of companies evaluated worldwide. This rating inspires us to keep on advancing our sustainability strategy.
Every year, EcoVadis assesses more than 50'000 companies from more than 200 industries in over 150 countries. The evaluation is based on a comprehensive catalogue of questions covering the environment, labour and human rights, corporate ethics and sustainable procurement. Companies use EcoVadis assessments to review their own sustainability performance and that of their supply chains.
We create a healthy, fair environment, minimise our environmental footprint and achieve sustainable business success. Our certified management systems are proof, with our quality and process management certified according to ISO 9001, our environmental and energy management according to ISO 14001 and ISO 50001, and our health and safety management according to ISO 45001.
In January 2020, the City of Zurich became the first civic institution to receive the Swiss LGBTI Label. The label recognises companies and organisations that promote an open, inclusive, respectful culture with respect to lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and intersex individuals.
The Swiss LGBTI Label is awarded on the basis of a self-declaration using a survey. The declared measures are substantiated by document submissions. Among the elements assessed are mission statement and strategy, concrete measures and projects, human resources policy, statutory provisions, binding requirements, and communication.
In 2023, the city of Zurich met the stricter requirements and can use the ‘Swiss LGBTI Label’ for another three years.
