ewz is a service division of the Department of Public Utilities and Transport of the City of Zurich. The CEO and department heads make up the Management Board. Around 1,200 employees, including 100 or so in the Grisons, work hard for you every day.
Our areas of responsibility include the production, sale and distribution of energy. We also offer a variety of telecommunications solutions.
We are significantly expanding renewable energy and enabling long-term use of hydroelectric power. We are phasing out our current investments in nuclear power plants by 2034.

naturemade star fund
ewz’s naturemade star fund creates new, biodiverse habitats for plants and animals. For every kilowatt-hour of green power sold from the certified power plants, we put one centime into the fund. This supports sustainable projects such as the renaturation of the Inn river.
