It may soon become easier for you to charge your electric vehicle at home. That's because the Federal Council is planning an amendment that could oblige owners to provide basic infrastructure for charging stations if residents so request. You can use this latest development as an argument for making it easier to access a charging station where you live.

Contracts and parties in the rental model
The owner of your property rents the parking space to you and provides the basic infrastructure for the charging solution. You can rent the charging station straight from us.
You can rent one from just CHF 35.90 per month. There is also a one-off activation fee of CHF 95. Prices include VAT.
The charging price is set by the local electricity supplier for the location of the charging station. When you’re out and about, the charging price is always visible in the app you’re using.
You can rent your own wall box if:
- your underground car park already has the basic infrastructure for ewz rental charging stations and
- the owner has already concluded a framework agreement for the rental model with ewz.
In this case, there should be information about this on site. This can usually be found in the tenant parking spaces or in the underground car park. If you are not sure, ask your property management company.
