For us, green electricity means climate-friendly and environmentally friendly energy from hydro, wind and solar power.

We produce most of it ourselves or at our partner plants, also located in Switzerland. This means that we can guarantee sustainable energy production.

Green electricity – making a difference together

We invest in green electricity and are thereby making an important contribution to the replacement of nuclear energy sources. We produce the majority of our green electricity ourselves.

Hydroelectric power

We're proud of our hydropower plants in Switzerland. These power plants with their own reservoir are particularly flexible and are therefore ready to be used when the sun is hiding or the wind turbines aren’t turning.


Solar power

The sun shines all year long, producing thousands of times more renewable energy than we need – free of charge. Photovoltaic systems convert this energy into solar power. It's completely eco-friendly, and there are no CO₂ emissions.


Wind energy

We use wind turbines to convert the kinetic energy of the wind, firstly into mechanical energy via the rotor and then into electrical energy via a generator. No Co₂ or other pollutants are produced during this process.

Green electricity makes the pool of electricity cleaner

The electricity grids in Europe are connected to form a larger grid that is best imagined as a pool of electricity. Anyone who generates electricity adds their power production to the pool, and anyone who needs electricity takes it from the pool. With green electricity, we're ensuring together that the pool is cleaner: us by producing green electricity, and you by buying it.
