Our energy efficiency consulting team supported the chocolate producer in developing target agreements for the outlet at Paradeplatz in Zurich and for its production facility in Dietikon. An energy consumption analysis identified the relevant energy consumers and formulated specific measures to increase efficiency. The analysis showed a potential reduction in energy consumption of 16 per cent at Paradeplatz and as much as 18.4 per cent in Dietikon within 10 years. The use of heat pump dryers alone results in energy and cost savings of 60 per cent compared to conventional dryers. With our solution, Sprüngli is cutting its energy costs significantly while also protecting the environment.

We have implemented a new medium-voltage system during operational hours. This will ensure a reliable power supply for the new news, sport and technology centre. Our grid centre monitors the system around the clock.
SRF also relies on our experts when it comes to implementing the cantonal target agreement and we handle the annual reporting to the responsible authority. Additional quarterly reporting ensures the ongoing optimisation of the energy efficiency of existing buildings, reduces the maintenance requirements of the system and, at the same time, sustainably reduces energy costs.

New medium-voltage system
As a major consumer, Rothschild & Co Bank AG has been meeting the requirements of the cantonal Energy Act since 2005. In 2016, the company signed a follow-up agreement to increase efficiency, with the aim of further reducing electricity and heat consumption and thus sustainably reducing operating costs. The analysis showed potential for optimisation in lighting and ventilation systems, heat generation, refrigeration systems and IT infrastructure. By implementing the catalogue of measures we developed, it was possible to increase energy efficiency at both locations by 14 per cent and reduce the cost of building services over the long term.
